Women Empowerment & Livelihood
Promoting self-employment through eco-handicrafts, health and legal rights awareness, and weaver self-help groups.

Understanding the Problem
Rural and tea tribe women face economic vulnerability, health deficits like anemia, lack of menstrual hygiene access, and early child marriage pressures.
Why This Work Matters
Equipping women with sustainable self-employment skills, health awareness, and legal knowledge fosters family stability, child education, and community dignity.
Our Grassroots Approach
We organize practical livelihood training turning waste and invasive weeds into income-generating crafts, conduct health rights camps, and build village ambassador networks.
Core Activities & Interventions:
- Three-day training programme on making household products from water hyacinth under "Swanirbharshil Nari – Atmanirbhar Assam" at Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha
- Women Awareness Programme at Purajanghal Playground reaching 100+ tea tribe women on health, rights, and education
- Health advocacy: combating anemia, promoting menstrual hygiene, and campaigning against child marriage
- Creation of a proactive network of "Village Ambassadors" for grassroots social change
Target Outcomes & Lasting Impact
- Direct creation of home-based self-employment and supplementary household income
- Reduction of riverine aquatic weed pollution through eco-friendly craft conversion
- Over 100 tea tribe women empowered with health awareness and legal rights confidence
